Lakehead professor developing technology to improve banked blood storage systems
Professor Farhan Ghaffar, from our Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, has been interviewed by Simcoe.com about his research.
His area of research is radio frequency (RF) circuits, antennas and system design with wide ranging applications including biomedical systems, autonomous vehicles, smart wireless technologies, space and satellite communications.
Dr. Ghaffar, who is a faculty member at our Barrie Hub, talks about how he is applying his research to develop technology designed to improve banked blood storage systems. The technology is currently being developed with industry partner, Best Medical Canada Inc.
