Engineering PhD student receives Graduate Studies Research Excellence Award
Sana Sharif, a PhD student in Barrie, has received the Graduate Studies Research Excellence Award from Lakehead University. This award acknowledges exceptional research in natural sciences and engineering.
Sana is pursuing a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering, specializing in network optimization for 6G networks under the supervision of Dr. Waleed Ejaz.
She has a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from BZU Multan, Pakistan, and two Master’s degrees, one from the National University of Science & Technology (NUST) and another from Lakehead University.
Sana received her award from Lakehead University’s President Dr. Gillian Siddall and Dr. Andrew Dean, Vice-President of Research and Innovation, at a ceremony at the Orillia campus as part of Lakehead University’s Research and Innovation Week.
