Contract Lecturer Position – Civil Engineering

Lakehead University (Thunder Bay Campus) invites applications for a Contract Lecturer in the Department of Civil Engineering. Applicants are requested to teach:

FALL/WINTER 2023-2024 COURSES

  • ECIV 1235 FA – Surveying (Start/End Date: September 5 – December 4)
  • ECIV 2011 FA – Steel and Concrete Design (Start/End Date: September 5 – December 4)
  • ECIV 2135 FA – Construction Practice (Start/End Date: September 5 – December 4)
  • ECIV 2138 FA – Highway Design (Start/End Date: September 5 – December 4)
  • ECIV 3738 FA – Hydrology (Start/End Date: September 5 – December 4)
  • ECIV 1733 WA – Civil Engineering Drawing (Start/End Date: January 8 – April 9)
  • ECIV 2919 WA – Technology Project (Start/End Date: January 9 – April 9)

Please note: This schedule is tentative and subject to change. Instructors should refer to the online timetable in August prior to the start of classes.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with P.Eng. designation. Education background and proven practical experience in the subject matter along with experience with experiential learning and online or alternative modes of delivery is highly desired.
